Loctite for engine bolts

Anyone recommend a variation / type of loctite or other brand that can be used on things like camshaft bolts, that are constantly covered in oil?

I have some old as f**k blue loctite that i used on the last rebuild - it is now evident that it did jack as it was all powdery and the bolts where very easy to remove..... even though the engine had not been used Rolling Eyes

Which blue you using? 242?

243 is the oil resistant one.

Not a clue its that old I can barely read the label! Id be suprised if it hasnt passed it shelf-life and is just nackered now

Google 243, says "slight contamination" of engine oils etc.
Apparently 2400 is white and has excellent chemical resistance...
