Nice tidy looking bike that mate shame you've got to get rid.

Perhaps one of our more technically minded could offer some advice/help to get you sorted and back on the road fairly cheaply?

even thought of replacing whole engine mate, & there's 3 currently on ebay, but apparently 2 are too old & the other one's too new. Given the choice, i'd keep her, but am just sick of looking at her in the garage being too lazy to bump start her every time. Confused

Hi

Without looking I am not sure, but given that the CBR has everything well hidden a welded repair might be possible. Find a good alloy welder and ask them what they can do for it.

I would have thought any CBR engine from about 1991 to 1999 (ish) would fit easily. Also worth trying various breakers yards as they price might not be as bad as you expect.

All the best

Keith
