Telt ye so (well, telt Visordown so). This could be a new Long Way Round moment.

Hi James, definitely give it a try, it's ace. The https://www.geton.co.uk/ scheme can give you a free hour or so to see if you like it.

Nothing wrong with Triumphs, and I expect they'll get quite a few sales out of this.

Hi

Welcome to the forum, take a seat anywhere...

...How about in this thread? https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=290824&start=0
...where they tell the tale of how the program is wank and Beckham is a Cunt.
Or wherever. Smile

I watched it last night, it wasnt very good in my eyes... basically more about how "spiritual and meaningfull" his trip was, without showing much about how nice it actually was... camera work was terrible.

He seemed to be concentrating more on looking like Steve Mcqueen than actually riding the bike, trying far too hard to look cool.. and when it got too difficult, they hopped on a plane, boat or a car.

I like the guy, dont get me wrong, but maybe he should stick to kicking a bag of wind.

Steveh.

No, I'm pretty sure it's the "only come out for 3 months a year" thing.

Love Bonnies/thruxtons, would you be able to ride one as a daily commute without much problem?

Most shots were DSLR style, manual focusing and tight angles.

Rather see a load of vintage look triumphs being ridden around than the current flock of bmw's

Atleast they look the part and look more suited to riding around through towns, rather than using a full blown adventure bike Wink

Could you?

Yes

Would You?

I really don't thinks so. I'd love to and was this close <--->* to buying one instead of the NC700 and would really like to have one - but all that chome, polishing and it'd be stored outside.. I just couldn't bring myself to do it Sad

Rogerborg has an Enfield. I don't know if he commutes on it or not but from what he's said on here I wouldn't go for one that required 2k oil changes with a lot of faffery to do it.

I'd say, no, not as a sole means of transport. That's my 2008 pre-EFI carby though, Northern Monkey has a new fangled 2010 which might be friendlier. It still has the same faffy service interval as far as I'm aware, although I don't think you have to remove the whole primary drive in order to change the front sprocket.

I can't blame the bike for the recovery though: the post mortem showed that the clutch cable had been pinched under the tank and worn through. The previous (and only) owner had been in there and muttered something about tight clearances.

If you want hassle free motoring, I'd suggest the Triumph or a W800.

Well...as if by magic there's Beckham’s Brazilian Bonneville on the Triumph website.

So they're making it sound like they Built it for Beckham's trip then? Confused

...how long before we see pictures of Beckham promoting the Triumph clothing range? Although I did think he was tied up doing Belstaff stuff, so that's maybe a no.

Is it me or is he trying a tad too hard to recreate some iconic Steve McQueen with bike poses?

Nice promotional work if you can get it.
Hands up who thinks Triumph would give some bikes to a complete unknown (like me or you) for a jolly trip!

I'll do it, 10,000 miles in a month on a euro jolly, sponsored by honda on a flash new bike. I'd even buy the petrol myself and kip in a tent, all while raising awareness about charity awareness.
I could do with a rest.

Who wants to sign me up?

PR done badly - that's such a shit article - really, was it knocked up by someone after watching the program on tv? No decent pictures, no real content...

Perhaps they should send me one to review for them...
