Not used the Max but I am a big fan of pinlock. I've got it on both my HJC and my Schuberth helmet and I wouldnt be without it.

AFAIK the max is only available in a clear visor on the arai. No good for this weather, dark tint FTW.

The max only fits certain visors.

I should have been clearer...

Does the Max fit better, fit more easily, give a huge increase in screen size, etc.
Is it worth choosing a helmet that takes Max over one that doesn't?

The newer version of my HJC IS-16 (the IS-17) has it and it just set me thinking.

The Mrs has a Scorpion EXO400 with a max pinlock:

It looks very good, more vision in the center than my Shark lid with a normal pinlock. As above though the pinlock is recessed inside the visor so looks like you'd need to have a visor that supports it. It wouldn't be the deciding factor in a helmet purchase for me, but as I ride year round it would be a big plus point Thumbs Up

Max all the way Wink

Fits better.
Bigger so you have less gap to get foggy and looks better.
Also you can choose a visor with or without vents (I have both)
And even if there are no tinted visors, you have dark inserts (which is what I use)

Only issue is that they are more expensive than the normal ones.
For Arai, you have Max vision visors for both L type and I type.
