Hi
Im having a bit of an issue regarding carrying my bike chain, i have a honda crf250m and have recently bought a tailrack from adventure spec, i also purchased a tack pack to stick the chain in, it works, but on the tail of the bike it states that i shouldnt add anything more than 4.5kg max!now i dont know whether it means on the actual tail or including the use of a tail rack which i installed after buying. currently the weight of everything is 5kg.
Ive heard all kinds of bad things about carrying them in rucksacks etc, So any advice would be great!

I kept my chain in a rucksack for a while. The result was it ripping at the seams between the strap and bag.
That could have been because of the quality of the bag but I'd just stick it on the back of the bike

Do you need to carry a chain with you or would a couple of alarmed disc locks suffice? Depending on where I'm going and parking up, also for how long I'll be leaving the bike unattended, I usually just carry one or two with me and they can fit into the pockets of my textiles but, not my leathers unfortunately.
