I spent this weekend racing in Zolder. Was exceedingly happy with my second of the two races. Only three and a half laps not under safety car yet I still managed to get past 12 people!

Blimey, looked like the fire caught hold rather a lot. Great footage as always. Thumbs Up

Yeah, it was a very hot day and I guess the fuel tank got pierced... It went up 3 times, I think you only see twice in the video. The guy in the burning car went a bit sideways and lost all pace (you can just see it on the video) then the lass behind had nowhere really to go.

Yup, I currently thinking long and hard about the third year though. The commute from Luxembourg is a killer. It means I can't visit tracks like all the other competitors. I turn up, maybe just get 2hrs practice if I'm lucky and then go straight into qualifying.

It certainly is. Although there's a hell of a lot of sitting around and waiting. I'm in Rockingham next month if anyone wants some free tickets?

I wondered why #89 didn't come back at you, he looked like he wasn't going to give up without a fight.

Isn't there some sort of Euro based series you could do?

Yeah, he's very similarly skilled to me - slightly less good in the race but more consistent and faster on a single lap. So I was surprised too.

There's quite a few euro series and I should have my international c class license by next year... But... It's all about cost - a trans-euro championship is way above my budget. Maybe the French Caterhams, but that still requires a lot of travel as France is surprisingly big. Otherwise I need a new car and again that's expensive!
