Just fuelled up this morning

put in 10.7 litres in, done 120 miles = 54mpg (i think)

what you getting...?

i dunno if this is good or bad, most stop start around Liverpool with an occasional blast down the motorway

£15 gets me 115 miles ish, I don't know if that's good or bad.. that's with me revving the crap out of it everywhere and flying up to 50/60 in first every time I set off.

Don't much care. Bike needs fuel - put fuel in - ride. But then, I don't use mine to commute on. If it comes to it, I know I can get going on 50mpg - that's an Ivanised Fazer thou, so not bad. But I have to ride like a nun to achieve that, so it doesn't really happen.

mine hasn't got a gauge though so i get to around 100 miles an refill, i dunno why but i just don't trust going to reserve....

10 litres gets me about 100 miles on the FZ6. I never ride for economy though and rarely ride on motorways. It's always country roads and fast acceleration.

Although I was out with a new rider on a 125 the other day and I managed to get 59! Thought I had filled up in my sleep or something.

Just been recording this for the old twin CB500. I have a spreadsheet
Around 180 miles to reserve.
Have to convert from topping up in litres to miles per gallon.

Works out about 58 mpg.

Cost per mile for fuel is approx. 10p atm (although fuel price risen by 2p/litre since April).

Between 46 and 47MPG, that's about 60% rush hour traffic and 40% open roads at 60 or above

CRF250L does between 80 and 85mpg as a rule, even with quite a bit of lower gear riding off road.
Yamaha BT1100 is usually around 55mpg.

66mpg on the GS, indicated by Ze Computer. It's downgeared 1 tooth on the front, so who knows what that's doing to the speedometer / odometer.

90mpg on the Enfield, calculated, again if the odometer is correct. The speedo gives only a general indication that you're moving forwards, so it may not be.

That's with an Amal concentric carb, IIRC 26mm, and a free-flow exhaust replacing the comically constricted stock pipe.

Either way, it is quite sippy on a commute.

ZZR (D8fABS) 42-48 mpg

all evening and week-end ridin .. small amount of motorway but mostly A roads with little traffic .... I don`t commute.

55 if I behave, 45 if I don't. 2 gallon tank, so I start looking for a fillup around the 80 mile mark. Which displeases me.

The Pan does roughly 40mpg, more if I ride nicely.

No idea what the FZ6 does because it's a long time since I worked it out - about 45mpg I think.
