Since i brought my tzr a week before xmas, i have had to do the following things:

Arrow change brake fluid
Arrow change brake pads (front)
Arrow change gearbox oil
Arrow change taillight
Arrow new indicator bulb
Arrow change airfilter
Arrow fix various wiring problems
Arrow add a fuse (didnt have one!)
Arrow fixed the ability to start the bike without the key
Arrow changed mixture settings
Arrow top up battery water
Arrow oil various components, mainly throttle grip and divider box thingy

and i still have to:

Arrow change lhs switchgear (broken at the bottom)

I suppose that is what you get for a 14 year old 125 (10 owners!) that has probably never been serviced in the past 5 years, the only thing i noticed when i brought it was the electrics and the indicator bulb

So I am happy that my bike is finally working properly!

Service? Don't talk wet!

Sounds to me like he has inherited someone elses neglect caused problems and has done a great deal to overcome them.
Glad to hear you've sorted out so much and that its ready to go! Very Happy

Sounds like he's pretty much done it all to me, the dealers don't have a magic "service wand", they just change oill & filter etc. the commodity the dealers don't have is time, because to them time is money, if you know what you are doing you can do a better job than them, given time.

BTW, if its been neglected for a bit, don't forget to lube all the cables well, especially the speedo.

i will be doing that tomorrow (oiling speedo cable),

ive been in my garage totalling about 20 hours or more fixing these things in the cold

I put redex in it cos i heard it was good for older bikes, expecially 2strokes, am i right? or not?

ive done all of the things in all service parts of the haynes manual, and i cannot think of anything else to do apart from stripping the engine, which i am not going to do unless it needs to be done

Curse of the white wheels!!

If you want to keep them sparkly, you are going to be spending a long time with a toothbrush Confused I know, I did with my NSR.

At least all the problems you had to resolve were relatively minor ones, and you are now able to get on the road and ride. Dance!
Well done for getting it all sorted Thumbs Up All you have to do is maintain it and look after her.

Don't worry about keeping them sparkly till the spring/ summer then. Smile If they're alloy, then I doubt they'll come to any harm as a result.

Sounds like you've done a nice job fixing everything up though, and it looks pretty nice for a 14 yr old 125 with 10 owners. Enjoy it. Thumbs Up

I'm 18 and have been using ebay for years. Get a parent to sign up or something.

I can't remember how I did all the way back when!, but I'm glad I did.

And I was accepted for my first credit card yesterday, it's all downhill from here..

Ebay + 18 year old with new bike + credit card = bad.

Marsbar is the man from here you'd want to get into contact with.

I wouldn't worry about lieing to eBay about your age, they don't want proof and they can't check.
