Rode to work today out the back of Castleford, through Methley heading towards Leeds. If anyone knows that road they know theres a railway bridge under which it floods from time to time. Yesterday, I rode through it on the way to and from work fine, a little water, no concern.
This morning, I ride through, and 100 yds down the road I get a fleeting sniff of a fragrance I can't quite put my finger on. I pull up at work and just as I'm hopping off the bike I notice my pant leg is dirty at the bottom. Then, I see my boot has white flecks on it. It dawns on me, it wasn't just a little excess rainwater or a burst main. Ffffffuuu...! Taking the long way home tonight Embarassed

Anyone had such shame brought upon them?

I know the road well. Everybody crawls under that bridge for no apparent reason.

Did you ride through what I think you're saying you rode through? WHERE DID IT ALL COME FROM?!

Once came back to the car, parked in the street, daytime, and there was a used tampon stuck to the outside of the tyre. Shocked Puke

Fairly sure that's not what happened. Which I'm pleased about. That would be absolute hell.

Map, I don't even...
