Well, ive always wanted one, so i sold my 636 and got myself a 06 zx10r.

Its got the usual tarty bits on, like Acrapovics, PC3, K&N filter, and a few other things like seat cowl, screen ect.

Theres still a few things i need to change, ive removed the shitty anodised bolts and gold footrests!

heres a pic (not the best)

Steve.

Very nice, I do like the Gen 1 ZX10 as they aren't too dissimilar from the 636 visually.

Modern 1000cc in-line four superbike, of course it's scary. Laughing

In a word... Yes, its savage as hell, and thats why i like it.
But in all honesty.. its far too much power for the road, ive got my first track day soon, so i may even turn it into a track hack, not sure yet.

It handles much better than my 636 and its got loads of power.. but i do miss the buzzyness of my last bike, jumping back on 600's of my friends always brings a smile to my face, as it feels like you can just thrash them alot more.

Was considering a ZX6R C1H or ZX10R D1/2F to run in conjunction with MarcoBlade. But I soon realised that nothing is as fun as a 600cc or smaller on the neat stuff!

I take it that the 10's a pretty stable bike to ride? The 2nd gen are pretty underrated because it's not as hardcore as the first evolution right?

My mental side wants one, my sensible side says no. Heard it shakes its head very easily when giving it some, so it would probably be a daily occurrence for me and I don't think I wanna take the risk Laughing

Wouldn't the original 1988 ZX10 be the Gen 1?

Ive had mine showing 176mph and it does spend alot of its time lofting its front wheel as i am partial to the odd wheelie or two!
but credit to the bike, its never really shook its head violently, my 636 (without damper) was alot worse when landing wheelies and getting twitchy when unloading the front end, the Ohlins damper really does work (ive never had one this good before)

Its a fantastic bike, the feedback from it is spot on, and inspires confidence on the bends and feels really planted into the road, but at the same time it gives you that addictive feeling that it might just kill you the next time you try to be a hero, but, isnt that what makes a good bike?!

i might upload a video seeing as we are having some good weather latley!

Well then!

That's that getting whacked onto the "next bike list"

The choices atm are pre-big bang R1's (can't insure a big bang) 2009 bug eye looking zx10r or the 05-06 Laughing
