After 30 years break, the once known UK company Hesketh is back with a brand new motorcycle Hesketh 24. Alexander Fermor-Hesketh, owner of the Hesketh F1 team, founded Hesketh motorcycles in 1980. Unfortunately, his 1000cc V-twin never had the success he hoped for and for that reason the company ceased the production in 1984.

In 2010, Paul Sleeman bought the brand and started the re-birth of the Hesketh motorcycles. Sleeman was also the chief engineer and designer in ''his'' new company. He aimed his efforts to a retro motorcycle with latest technology and reliability.

Specs:
The engine is a air cooled 1950 cc V-twin 8 valve four stroke, from S&S, type X-wedge. Which is the exact same engine as the one that Morgan uses for its three wheelers. UK company Harris Performance Engines tuned up the engine for Hesketh motorcycles to its 123 hp and 197 Nm of torque at 3000 rpm. Customers will have a chance to choose from three different powerbands.

Next on the list is the fully adjustable Öhlins suspension with Beringer brakes on BST wheels. The seat is made out of the top quality Italian calfskin made by the same people that do interiors for McLaren.

Each out of 24 bikes will have 18 carats gold plate with engraved serial number on the tank + 24 months warranty.

The last thing to mention is its prize of 35,000 pounds. The motorcycle will be launched at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

24 * £35K = £840,000.

They are far, far too cheap.

If think it's just a promo, like the Bugatti Veyron. To show they can do stuff. That's what you do when you've got 2 things, a dream and 100 million pounds. Thumbs Up

Looks a bit of a bitza. How much are a set of Ohlins forks, few Stack instruments and a Harley clone engine.

For £10k less you could have a basic Morgan 3 wheeler.

All the best

Keith

Those gauges look bloody awfull. Realy cheap and nasty plastic.

So my opinion is Thumbs Down . I'd much rather have a Norton.

We've already discussed this tub of lard:-

HERE

As much chance of seeing one on the road as I have of breaking the outright lap record at the TT! Mr. Green
