Hey, I've been looking at how to restrict a ZXR400 and I've read that I need to use sealant to prevent air leaks. Someone recommended to use Instant Gasket. I've seen one on the halfords website

https://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_749601_langId_-1_categoryId_255217

It says on it 'Not suitable for head gaskets and fuel systems.' Is this not the correct stuff? As its used to prevent air leaks, although its kinda near the fuel system.

Example of the sealant:

this stuff will probably be better but if things are cleaned and gaskets are refreshed its usually not necessary

where do the restrictors fit?

I fitted restrictors into my ZZR600 and just nipped the jubilee clips back up tight when putting the carb on, the carb barrels push into some rubber hose, at first they weren't tight enough so some air was bypassing the carb preventing me from setting a low enough idle speed

having another go at tightening everything up and all was good as it was tight enough to cut off any air.
