So far top of the pile is the Furygan TD12:

https://www.motolegends.com/Images/Products/XLarge_Images/FGN412_1.jpg

To give you an idea of what I'm after.

None left in my size at my just local shop and the online places could take a week to dispatch, ideally want them before next Saturday. Any recommendations of gloves that I could get sooner? Happy to buy online if they'll deliver quickly.

I tried a pair of those on today as it goes, they felt nice alright, but they sort of fill a gap that I already have gloves for, spring/autumn gloves.

I want something really well ventilated for the hot slow commute, to be fair I'm not a massive fan of the short gloves either, but I've struggled to find anything decently ventilated that comes as a gauntlet.

That said, having felt the pain of having a gauntlet removed with a wrist broken in three places, a short glove might have its benefits!

I have these Triumph Mesh Adventure gloves, they great, nice and airy although sacrifice a bit of protection.

Palm is all leather, with hard knuckles and a mesh top, with lycra type bits between fingers. Definitely flow alot of air across your hands! Reasonable price too.

Nice suggestion, like the look of them Thumbs Up

Have read a fair few people comment that the stitching on RST gloves has a tendency to come un-stitched though? Particularly around the ends of the fingers.

I have heard this (before I bought my first pair)....but I have had no such issues.(on the fingers) My first pair lasted 2 summers and the stitching did start to come away from the palm pad....but it wasnt really bad...id worn them for 6 seasons every day commuting and sold them on Ebay for £15 used, so cost me £20 in effect.

I then bought a second pair last year in March.. (they redesigned them slightly and called them Stunt2) ...used them all spring summer and all this spring and summer and they still look new.

Bang for buck I cant see anything beating them. Yes there will be better made andprobably longer lasting, but I bet they will be 3 or 4 times the price of these.

Just my opinion tho.

How about these? https://www.getgeared.co.uk/HIGHWAY_1_Retro_Motorcycle_Gloves

Full of air holes, very comfy...

Go through the motions of a quote with the bikeinsurer and you get a gg 10% off code (T&C's not read by me might require spending 1 million pounds before discount)

I had a pair of RST evo gloves. They lasted only a few weeks before the velcro stopped sticking, the stitching started to come undone on one of the fingers and the rubber protectors on the knuckles started to fall off. I wouldn't ever consider buying their gloves again.

Maybe some of their other styles are okay but personally, I wouldn't chance it.

I have 2 pairs of RST gloves and the velcro also stopped sticking on one of them, but everything else is fine. I would be wary of buying anything else from them unless i checked to make sure it was good quality first.

My tractech evos are very well ventilated. Was shocked when I accelerates and felt the cold air Very Happy

They are a longer gauntlet type glove too, which I prefer

I've got the RST Tractech leather jacket and trousers, which I bought at the same time as the gloves and I don't have any complaints about them. In fact, they've been quite good value for money (although I haven't tried sliding down the road in them yet). But, their gloves and boots do appear to have quality issues.

I won't buy RST boots, feel and look too much like plastic compared to sidis and alpinestars, I'll quite happily wear their textiles, leathers and gloves though, own a trachtech evo textile jacket, 2 piece leathers, gloves and another pair of winter gloves

I wear these. They are seriously lightweight and they keep my hands nice and cool. If i remember correctly they are about £30 and come in several colours.

I had a pair of the cheap RST ones but they felt crap and the thumb was a lot shorter on one glove than the other?!

Ended up with Rev'it Sand Pro ones which were a bit more expensive and look funny but are comfortable

I'm put off of the Spadas by the fact they are mx gloves. I worry they might not be up to a decent slide on tarmac.

I think all of my gloves bar one pair have been "tested" at some point, so I'd like them to be up to the job, just in case.

My summer gloves are Spada Axis gloves
https://www.infinitymotorcycles.com/images/products/medium/3Spada_Axis_Black.jpg

I've had them for 4 years now, and the only thing wrong is that the velcro is starting to go.

https://www.spadaclothing.co.uk/productdetail.php?subcat=26&cat=4&product=987&productname=Axis

Cost about £30

I admit I sacrificed protection for comfort when I chose them. Same for all my summer gear really.

I have some Spada Predators that I got for £50
https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/product_images/spada_gloves_leather_preditor_white.jpg

Excellent gloves. Very well made, I am normally the destroyer of gloves but these have held up Thumbs Up

Only problem is the knuckle guard rubs my right hand little finger knuckle, but I think that's a problem with my particular pair of gloves. I have a callous there now so it's fine Laughing

I have these, really well made and have a superfabric slider at the base of the palm (is that the scaphoid?) which appears to be where gloves i'm wearing hit the ground first. Velcro holds up well and the safety strap goes tight enough for my spindly wrists, I often have to change the velcro on gloves so that strap works safely. Will fit over or under the cuffs of my rst jacket, under allowing a little air up my sleeves. Could do with more armour on the knuckles for a faired bike, definitely a tour/cruise glove not a sports glove.

I have these Weise Daytona as my summer gloves.
A bit more than 50 quid I paid £67.99 delivered but they
have some great features including external stitching, bit of skippy skin on the palm, hard scaphoid sliders on palm that are positioned
just so and do not interfere at all with the grip on the bars.

Well reviewed in these links.

https://weise-clothing.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/ride-recommends-weise-daytona-gloves.html

https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/weise-daytona-motorcycle-glove-review/

https://www.twowheel.co.uk/images/detailed/15/weise_daytona_black_1.jpg

I think they are a lovely glove, lightweight and loads of feel.
When I wear my thicker RST gauntlets I really notice how much more
'distant' the throttle and buttons feel. I only wear the gauntlets for
long 70+ runs.
