This weekend I arranged a CBT for the girlfriend, let her know on the Friday she was doing it on Saturday. Dropped her off, went for a blast, then picked her up.

Yesterday we also picked up a GS 125 for her. She's a student living in Leeds but lives in Manchester when "at home".

Obviously she wants to insure it to her university address but her driving licence address is her home address. Will there be a problem with this? From an insurance standpoint.

It might say what address is the bike kept at other than home address... something along those lines when they question her looking for insurance.

I got told by some insurers in the past, my driving licence has to have the same address as where my bike was kept most ...

Put her home address as her home address and the "where the vehicle is kept address " as where it is the most. Or if it doesn't ask that put it at the address she uses most

I wouldn't worry about it to much, if it gets stolen at the non insured address just say you she was visiting people etc. Happened to my brother a few years ago they didn't argue

Insurers do not tell the truth, so they do not get the truth.

I would not cause myself any more hassle than I need to. I would insure at the cheapest address and say nothing more. My address is different to that of my insured address.

This is one of the times you need to speak to the Ins co and explain. Plenty of people in the same situation. Pretty sure that this has cropped up before.

My license is registered to my parents house. I'm not going to register it to a rented house and make it even more work to do when I move.
