where can i get a new spoke for a better bt-125 which is a copy of honda cg.

You would be looking at a new spoke set most likely. Either way its a full wheel rebuild and hardly worth the effort. Just try and pick up another wheel off of ebay when one comes up cheap Thumbs Up

Why is it a full rebuild? Can't OP just replace one spoke?

Should be able to pick up one spoke and nipple. Hardest thing could be refitting it if inner one that is crossed over and under existing spokes. Recently responded 2 wheels from scratch and although frustrating at first, become very enjoyable at looking at the results when finished.

I was always under the impression that once the spokes are tight, you would have to slacken them all off in order to fit a new one. And perfectly matching a spoke would be difficult I believe.

Once one spoke has gone the load increases on the others and they will fail shortly after in my experience.

thanks all for the input. honda dealer said he could order one for £5 but couldn't give sizes or specs and no guarantee that it would fit.

ordered a set of 36 from china (advertised with full spec) came within a week. £13 the lot inc pp.

broken spoke had a flaw in it, easy to replace, others all ok.

ps. i can build wheels from scratch.

Any advice on good reading material to learn? or is it just a practice sort of job?

I need to learn as there is nowhere that trues wheels close to me.
I already bought a wheel balancing stand and dial gauge to mount to it, now I just need some skill! Smile
