Sorry if this is a repost.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-humber-28090520

Quote:
A 12-year-old boy riding a motorcycle with a three-year-old passenger has been seriously injured in a crash with a car in Bridlington.

Police said the vehicles collided on Woldgate, at 12:40 BST on Saturday.

The boy suffered serious head injuries and multiple fractures to his body. He was airlifted to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough.

The toddler sustained minor injuries and was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary for treatment, Humberside Police said.

The 12-year-old boy, who was riding a blue Yamaha motorcycle, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police said.

He is now in a stable condition.

Police did not say whether the three-year-old child, who was travelling as a pillion passenger at the time of the collision, was wearing a helmet.

A spokeswoman said she was "unable to give more detail" about the model of motorcycle, or the gender of the toddler.

The driver of the car, a 31-year-old man from Bridlington, suffered minor whiplash injuries.

Detectives have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

One part of me says "That`ll learn ya, you stupid little twat"
Another part of me hopes they are just given a fright and are alright/recover.

I cant get on my hobby horse to much as I was riding bikes on disused railway tracks at the tender age of 12.

However if it was a stolen bike and there is no suggestion that it was, I hope the silly little fugker gets a permanent limp!

It will be interesting to find out if more details are disclosed. I dunno how it works with young people, but hopefully we'll find out and cast our views. If it was me, my mum would kill me! That would be scarist part of the whole thing!

I'm assuming pikeys.

What we need to keep the Think Of The Children safe is more speed cameras, more enforcement-by-post for paperwork "offences", and of course tougher licensing.

I agree

The minimum age for riding any motorbike should be 21 years old.

That should stop people riding illegally

Speed bumps. Can't ever have too many speed bumps. You know you all love that feeling of having your tailbone thrust up into your neck when you hit one too fast.

Wildlings, escaped over the wall, causing terror in the quiet and peaceful ghettos of The North on their stolen motorcycles.

I'm assuming the same.
Maybe the parents will send them on a road safety course one day.
