So I may have just made a massive mistake...

Currently have 9 points on my license, 6 of which are due to come off end of this month/early next month

Pretty sure I've just been flashed on a speed camera, about 65 in a 50

What am I looking at?

Assuming this camera takes a while to be processed, will that do for me, or will it go from date of offence?

Go back past the camera and determine if the actual camera is in the unit, it may not be there.

If it is then all you need do is contest/appeal the PCN. This usually results in them dropping it if there's any doubts. Ask them for the specific calibration documents, who installed the camera, when, are they qualified, when etc etc.

By this time you have sent off your licence to dvla to get the points removed so they don't show on your licence!

Hopefully you will escape a ban!

Likely bus or train timetables.

You can only do this when it's going to court, they don't have to provide you with any evidence of such before that point.

Ok, well this is embarrassing, I've had a couple hours kip, which I obviously needed... And realised something. I saw it flash, because it was front facing. Crisis averted!

As weird as it sounds, you can "see" the ones that flash the rear.

Front facing cameras don't flash iirc.

Was it a camera for the other side of the road? Was there another vehicle there?

I know what you mean about seeing it flash from the rear, but I mean I saw the actual camera, thought "shit", applied brakes but saw a flash from it.
My side of the road, but could be pointed at the other side I guess? Either way, at the time it flashed it couldn't have seen my plate.

So I can stop dreading the postman now

Unless you are wearing distinctive gear and they find you by checking the photo...

Black lid, black textiles, and a blue & white DT, it's not likely.

Couldn't say what Road it was as I was completely lost at the time, a B road somewhere between Bristol & Exeter. Roughly 11am I'd say?

I was picking it up for a mate, as he'd only ridden auto's on his 6 years of cbts & didn't want to learn how to operate gears on a journey of that length. Annoyingly he hadn't spoken to the seller that much, so had a 45 min conversation with him via my mobile, which meant the battery was kaput when I tried to use the satnav to get back. And I am ashamed to admit that without satnav, I am utterly hopeless with even the simplest of directions!

So for any Police reading.

If there's a forward facing photo of somebody between Bristol and Exeter at roughly 11am at about 65mph.

Black helmet, black textiles with a blue and white DT

Just PM korn for his details Laughing

Yep. That's why you don't admit to breaking the law on a public forum.

Only himself to blame if someone does contact the Police .

If someone contacts the police then the OP can blame that person!

Who the fuck would contact the police about someone claiming to have been doing 65 in a 50?

Well, for the sake of "PC Nothingbettertodobuttrawlforums"....

I witnessed the above happen, and so I was speaking Hypothetically, wondering what would happen if I were in this situation.
Or perhaps it was a dream.
Or was it a completely fictional story I once read.

My memory's not what it used to be, doesn't sound like something I'd do though?
