Yeh so its exam time this morning (maths) at 9am. First of all im poo at maths. I set off at 8.30, got to the lights about half a mile down the road and my throttle cable snapped! Shocked
I was shitting bricks because i thought i'd never make it to the exam. Anyway i decided i would have to pull the throttle cable by hand so i removed my right glove to put it in my bag, in the mean time my bag ripped open and the zip fell off.
Managed to ride all the way to college by pulling the cable with my hand, it is NOT easy and it creates a lot of pain around the fingers Evil or Very Mad
Another half a mile down the road i run out of petrol luckily i still had the reserve.
Oh and the exam went bad so thats my day!
The plastic adjuster for the throttle fell out too so i need a new one of those now.

Next time, learn to be half an hour early for all your exams Thumbs Up

Still, bad luck - that's the way things go, if it's going to wrong, it'll go very wrong.

Best of luck for your next exam Very Happy

Sod's law... Razz

Throttle cable is embarrassing, like when I pulled it got to the middle of a massive crossroads and stopped... Embarassed

Hope your luck improves.... As a word of advice, don't get a new cable, just get someone to rebuild the old one. Assuming it only lost the nipple you'll be able to get a new one put on for next to nothing.

Nearly missed a computer studies exam in my 2nd year at uni. My classmates said they heard me coming from miles away, as I hooned through town down the centre line (there was a white median strip deviding lanes. You're not supposed to use it unless you're turning right. I used this all the way into town. Lucky I didn't get busted because I was doing about twice the speed limit.... passed the exam by the way Wink ... Good luck with yours... Maths is one of those subjects that you can't bullshit your way out of... needless to say I'm not that good at it Wink
