Plenty of places they could do it.

The TDF didn't cause much disruption around here, despite going through big cities. I can think of plenty of places that could be closed off for hours at a time, for a week or two without much inconvenience.

Hopefully it will mean road racing does come to UK, rather than an unused opportunity.

Probably has more to do with a London F1 race, or Formula E than those noisy, dangerous bikes.

London F1? be a load of cabbies and cyclists wouldnt it?
Uk version of TT would be awesome!
Any motorcycle road race would be awesome!

Yep, can't see them encouraging anymore road races. Gets kinda awkward when KSI figures go to press.

Coventry ring road springs to mind, but it would only be about 2 minute laps though.
