How do I go about cleaning up and sorting my oil cooler?

Currently it looks as though it's been on a bike that's done the millage mine has but I don't really want to spend £400 on a new one.

I'd like to sort out what appears to be a leak from where the pipes attach and make the cooler cool the oil better.

any ideas?

Hi

Is it just dirty with a few bent fins, or have the fins rotted away?

If the first then clean it up with loads of water (leaving it to soak). Hopefully dissolve most of the first so minimal effort is need to move what it left. Then straighten the fins with tweezers.

If it is rotted then there are a fair few places around that can recore them.

All the best

Keith
