Are here.

Up on June 2013, but not by as much as the year-to-date average.

Moped sales continue to drop, and there was a slight but surprisingly drop in 125-650 sales; I guess 675 is the new 650?

Not many surprises in the best sellers. The CBF125 had a good month - must be all the great things that people say about them. I spotted a 2012 today that was rustier than a nun's heavenly gates.

Minor victory perhaps, but the best selling scooter was the Yamaha XC 115, finally toppling Honda's assorted twist-and-snores off that spot.

The new CBR650F came out top in a soft capacity sector with relatively few sales, and Triumph scooped the 651-1000cc range with the Street Triple R of all things - I rather suspect that Yamaha can't import MTs fast enough. Naked sales overall are way up this month though.

Not that Yamaha are doing badly: they're starting to nip at Honda's heels in total units, with Triumph doing pretty well too. They even knocked Harley out of the top custom spot with the Bonneville America, yay.

Even Suzuki scraped together some decent numbers in June thanks to another month of SALE! SALE! SALE!, although without any range topping bikes it's hard to guess where.

Thanks for posting - is there anywhere that shows you sales figures for all bikes, rather than just bestsellers?

[EDIT misunderstood your point here - yes, I would like to see a complete breakdown by model but unfortunately that's not available. The manufacturers will buy the data, but few others I guess.]

Those releases contain total registrations. Visualising them requires a little more work. By year and month; this shows seasonality quite nicely:

Highlight table of same data:

If the number of bikers taking their test is going down, who's buying all the new bikes?

That Kawasaki Z1000SX I'm sure has been up there in the best sellers before.

Anyone got/had one? Are they any good?

Amazingly, the DVLA replied and they do provide full info on their website - click on the link below and select the 'Table VEH0161' link (or the VEH0160 which is even more detailed):

Good work!

Actually I asked DVLA about my license last year (it being a transfer and all) and they got back to me pretty quickly with some useful info. Was surprised but happy.

Clapping Officer work, that man. Blimey, it's even up-to-date to Q1 2014. Thumbs Up

Should you be interested, I took the list from table 0161, sorted them into order of 2014 sales and removed all bikes below 500cc (sorry but I'm not interested in scooters etc) - attached is the top 91 bikes by Q1 2014 sales.
