 |

Hello,
I have not been using my bike for around three weeks, today when I tried to start it, I was not been able to disarm the Datatool alarm. I have tried changing battery and cleaning the remote, yet the remote itself seams to be working fine. I have got the bike for around two months, so I am lacking of experience with this alarm, but usually it just required to click it the circle button and the alarm sound stopped. Not this time unfortunately. What might be the reason for it? I have tried to disarm it both with and without the key in ignition.
Below is the remote.

Same thing happened to mine right before it failed completely, it would be randomly difficult to disarm. I stripped it down and found that it would work by twisting the circuit board but in the end I had to rip it off.
See the attached PDF, you need to rip the lid off the alarm and un-plug the two multi-plugs and link the two wires of each immobiliser circuit to get the bike running. The alarm will stop howling when the internal battery goes flat or you can cut the wires. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

Hideous things those alarms, had nothing but trouble over the years. Glad to have a bike without one now, tbh. ____________________ Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind - Dr. Seuss |

Would not the cutting the wires effect with me being not able to start the bike?
I think this might be connected this way. Apologies in advance if I am saying something silly, yet I have very little knowledge about those things. |
I bridged those connectors with papaerclips and didn't cut the wire. Like you said, the bridging of those wires in needed to bypass the immobiliser, do not cut the wires. Ideally when you've got time, chase the wires back and remove the alarm from the loop. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.
