Ok so I'm in a bit of a predicament
My fuel tank on my nsr won't open and I know there's not a lot of fuel left in there
Key works in all the locks bar the tank and had never been a problem to open the tank before but now I'm stuck away from home with a locked fuel tank have tried wiggling it but with no joy anyone have any ideas for a quick fix to limp it home before I have to call for recovery (don't have cover so I'd imagine it'll cost a hefty sum)
Thanks in advance!

Lol as my luck had it the shell I'm at has none and I don't know the area enough to venture away on a Sunday to find somewhere that does
Think I'll give it another 10 mins of wiggling then go for a ride and hope for the best

Press down on the cap whilst turning the key. If that doesn't work try holding a bit of pressure on the key and thumping the cap with the edge of your hand.

If you still can't open it, then the hammer and flat head screwdriver approach will work.

A biker ended up pulling into the Garrage who lived locally he went home and grabbed a can of wd40 and that plus a little wiggling and pressure worked
Thanks all for the ideas, saved me a fair chunk I'd imagine Thumbs Up

If it ever gets stuck again, whack some bicycle chain lube down it and work the key around a bit. It'll keep it lubricated and shouldn't seize again.
