I was thinking about buying this Scorpion Exhaust for my bike. He's offered it to me for £150 +£10 pnp

I've never bought a race exhaust and don't know what to expect, or if it's a rip - off

A scorpion exhaust on your cbr600rr should sound great - scorpion cans usually do.

But if you are hesitant to buy it, why do you want it exactly? Seems a good price, yes! Should free up a bit of power although may need to be jetted or something done to make the bike run smoothly.

My 'race' exausts, well 'not for road use' apparently will slow my bike down, all they will add is more noise and style, but for £26 new, you can't go wrong. Not sure how it would affect a bigger bike

Is that for a 600RR? The shape looks wrong.

Looks right to me.

The micron one for the 600rr is more or less just circular. Should be slightly oval shaped. This is the micron one on a cracking non road legal bike. Which was on the road. For some reason... Confused

Mind you, I could never tell if thats a fireblade or not, although I'm thinking it is now. whoops

I'd just expect it to be more oval than it looks in the picture Confused

That picture is a cbr6, the front forks are not upside downers.

Ive heard a couple of cbr's with scorpions and they do sound very nice, mite need a little rejetting as its not just a can.

The price seems fine, although Scorpion are generally regarded as a bit of a budget brand, so I can't believe that it originally cost £270.

It is technically just the can - it's a slip-on as opposed to a bolt-on (like the RVF etc), it just has an extra link pipe. As for rejetting - unless you have a PC3 installed, you can't do 'owt to the fuel delivery.

As for the fitting - yes, fitting a can on the 600RR is a bit of a chore, especially if it's the first time that you've ever removed the seat unit. But's it generally straightforward.

I'm not a big fan of the dual-port Micron, but you got it at a good price, especially as it should be BS-stamped (better to be safe than sorry despite the new MOT rules).

If you need any tips installing it, then give me a shout.
