Anyone used the 'STANDARD 18' file format? Used for direct debits etc.
They want £50 just to email us a pdf with the file format and our provider is being slow getting back to us generally.
Just looking for the spec so we can get some data ready.

Hi
This is where the docs are but unless you already have a logon your stuck and Im on hols so can't help.
I would be careful of other docs found else where as many "standard" things are not so standard as you would hope.... so it may or may not be right
Regards
Charlotte (sorry cant be arsed to log keith out)

Cheers.

My google skill seems to be particularly lacking yesterday because I hadn't viewed that BOI one, however had seem some other similar ones. As Charlotte says, they do seem to vary a bit between them.

I'm ok for creating payments, which we can use with our own custom csv format, but to create the direct debit instructions/cancellations, we need to use Standard 18.
This BOI one specifies that the amount be between £.01 and £.99b, which isn't going to work for an instruction, which doesn't have an amount. The rest looks pretty similar to others, but can't be sure.

Of course, I'm hoping that it is a vanilla Standard 18 we need.

It seems we SHOULD have a login for BACS, but the details that we thought were being used don't work.

Our provider still hasn't got back to us, but there's been an entirely unrelated panic this morning, so this hasn't been looked at too much yet. We should be hassling them later in the afternoon.

We've got our account setup, but it seems it doesn't give us access to that, as we're just a lowly 'business user' or whatever.

Our provider has now got back to us, though not with anything of use yet.

We got it all sorted and it turns out we CAN use our own CSV format which they will then translate into Standard 18.
They sent us the Standard 18 docs anyway.
