So I go on my annual trip to Scotishland and back without the bike missing a beat in 2162 miles.

I return and put the bike in the garage for a few days.

When I get the bike out to go to a meet, it plays up?
3 times on the way to Great Bently bike meet , it cuts out at higher revs/under load?
Once on the side of the road and back in neutral, it starts again no problem?

Any ideas?

Bike?

How long after setting off/reaching the speed does it cut out?

Does it splutter then cut out, or cut out instantly?

Any loss in power prior to cutting out?

Maybe a haggis tried stowing away in your tank, but couldn't escape once you got back and succumbed to the fumes/drowned and is now creating an obstruction.

I'd check your tank for a rogue haggis if it were me. Make sure you're armed with the obligatory wooden stick with a nail through the end for dispatching said haggis, should it not actually be dead. I probably wouldn't eat it though, as the petrol may have tainted the wee beastie.

Aye, if it's not the haggis in the tank, check the air filter for neeps, and the sparkplug for signs of tatties.

Coil/leads breaking down under load.

Breather blocked/trapped on tank.

Caber tossed in exhaust pipe.

Fried mars bar in carbs.

Porridge oats in electrics

Whiskey in the jar-o?

Thank you for all the Scottish food jokes Laughing .

It`s a Hyosung GT250r .
it`s also fuel injected.

I was thinking coil breaking down under load?
The problem can be at the beginning of the trip when the bike is not completely warmed up (I always let my bike warm up before riding) or during mid ride?

Anyhoo! I`m almost certain it`s not a blocked air vent in the tank as the cap is very clean and I`ve already checked that

If it's FI I bet it's a sensor somewhere. Possibly also fuel pressure switch/sensor.

This I am thinking also Thumbs Up

No I hav`nt got a fuel filter on it? the tank is clean and there is so little space between the tank and the injectors, you`d be hard pushed to get a fuel filter in there?
