I was actually trying to fit LED bulbs into my tail light on the ZXR and it was like a strobe light at the idle, very fast flickering, as I passed a certain point the frequency of the flickering got so fast it felt like a constant source of light. Now I got another set of LED bulbs to try, so will see.
I'm only trying this to get a bit more power into the headlight during braking, the tail light takes 70w or so under braking, which makes my headlight go significantly dimmer, which is not quite safe at night. But, it's not like I get completely blind every time I squeeze the brake lever in dark, it's just not nice. Kawasaki can't make proper electrics, my mate's Honda has the same amount of bulbs, and even 2xH4 that are always on at the same time, and his lights never get dim and never flicker at the idle.
EDIT: The bulbs took 52w not 70. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

I googled around, and there are two 21w/5w bulbs = 52w. I must have been mistaken. There's this:
