Anyone local ish to the Luton area with access or ability to do a basic machine job?

Just want the bar risers for the Triumph height reduced a bit.

Having had a look they're 20mm ideally I'm looking for around 10 so literally cutting one in half would do.

If anyone can help I could post out with beer tokens to cover or preferably local to drop off pick up.

If you just look for some local engineers on Google give them a ring and they will most likely have a mill they can turn shave them on for you.

If your bike is 96 or later look at the early models as the bars look lower if the same fitting and fork size. You could just drill the yoke and fit other bars and risers. Just make sure your holes are inline and the new bar will not cover anything like the ignition.

I'm not near Luton, but one of the guys in my team works in Welwyn Garden City. Maybe you could drop them off and collect them from him.

I should make it clear that I am far from the Machining wizz that the likes of Pete. amongst others on here are. But if it is literally whizzing 10mm from the bottom on the mill then it shouldn't be beyond me Laughing.

Probably best off speaking to a local machining place first though, I can't see it costing much to do and you'll get somebody far more experienced than me!

All that said, if you want me to do it drop me a PM

Thanks for the replies and offers. I'll hold out a day or two for BCF superman to appear before getting on the blower....

It's a 93 model so although I could mess around with the bars etc... the easiest will be alter the riser as they were on the bike anyway.

It's just a tad too much pain without them on and slightly too high with them on, fussy old git! I can live without but it's for touring so trying to get as comfy as poss.
