For that budget, you'll have to either be very lucky or very patient to find anything in roadworthy condition.

TBH instead of a cheap helmet cam, I'd go to somewhere like Cash Converts and get a cheap used compact camera with a standard tripod mount thread and either bodge or buy a helmet mount.

I use my old Pentax Optio clamped to a spare mount from a Vivitar DVR480. The DVR480 is a good cheap tail-cam, but tends to be blurry when helmet mounted.

I have an HD 808 #16 with the wide lens that I use on my helmet (one of those remote keychain camera thing). It has a decent image and you can find one easily around 20-30 quid.
Battery life is around 40-45 min when recording.
Some test footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOtEJbfB5Bs

It's not waterproof but I've been under the rain with it without problem (except the water on the lens obviously)

They're out there, just look hard.
I bought a G reg RXS100 non-runner a few years ago for 70, spent 10 on a new exhaust, and it ran just fine, welded up a bit of swingarm rot, and it was MOT'd.

Check out the Mobius ActionCam. It's a great little action camera that can be found on Ebay for £60 or less. Look it up on YouTube, its quality is great!

You can probably pick up a really shit 125 for that kind of money, something that will need money spending on it anyway

Better off getting about £700, you can get a decent CG for that

You can get an OK CG for like £500 if you're lucky

I forgot to add, the Mobius should fit on most helmet mounts. You can find mounts on Amazon Smile

The SVC200 has a good review: https://www.techmoan.com/blog/2013/11/10/svc200-is-the-best-100-action-camera-ive-found-so-far.html

If anyone can better that for quality, looks and price, please let me know. I've been waiting for about 6 months for something to beat it...

Yeah I was going to go for that one after watching techmoan's review on YouTube. Didn't happen though. I'd say go for that if you can (thread creator).
