Hey guys,

I'm in urgent need to a right hand foot rest hanger / rear set for a 08 kawasaki zx6r.

Just had a mare when bike fell off trailer, hanger snapped.....have a track day tomorrow!

I'm in the Cheshire area and will travel a good distance to pick up this evening. Alternatively the track day is at Anglesey so anyone in that area I could pick up in the morning (7am).

Obviously I'm willing to buy the hanger.

Thumbs Up

It's a pretty specific part.

Depending on how it broke you may have more luck asking if somebody would be able to weld it back up as a short term fix?

I would think you are more likely to find somebody who can weld it tonight within 50 miles than you are to find the exact footpeg.

I've got some ZZR 600E parts including full rear brake assembly, hanger, pedal, hose, calliper (seized I think) and reservoir

No idea if they'll fit your bike, I'm just north of Bury, Lancs

Yep, full with hanger

Thanks guys,

Just been on a wild goose chance (50miles each way) only to find the the "perfect" part is in fact broken (the bit where the brake lever attaches). He gave me the bit for nothing as it's at least got the foot peg still attached which is more than can be said for mine!

So I've got 2 choices, either don't do the track day or do it without a rear brake.

Thumbs Up

Often there is a van with spares at track days. Usually things like levers/brake pads etc.

Not sure if they'd have such a specific part on the day, they might have someone who can deliver it, or where you can pick it up from though

Decided to sack it off....Mrs thinks it could be a sign I'm not meant to do it!!! Very Happy

Just ordered the part (new) from a trusted ebay seller so once I get the bike back in order I'll book on to another day.

Emailed the track day organiser to ask if in the circumstances they would let me transfer to anothe day to say me losing 99quid but not sure whether they'll play ball.

Cheers again for the help.

Thumbs Up

Don't quit because you don't have a rear brake! On track it's even more useless on the road. You'll be braking far harder on track using the front brake and you'll have much less grip from the rear 'cos all the weight will be shifted to the front of the bike.

From the sounds of it, your missus knows nothing about bikes, so why trust her on this?

Get the bike ready to go and have a good day tomorrow Thumbs Up

I know what you mean but I'm just a bit fed up anyway so it's probably better to book another day and get the bike sorted for that. Knowing the luck I'm having at the mo, the organiser would notice my bike bike isn't fully right and black flag me!

Thumbs Up
