Been a (long) while since I've last posted on here, so I'd just like to say hello (again!).

Happy riding Cool

My girlfriend did her Mod 1 on an MT-07 this week, she loved it. Good looking bike, quite wanted a go myself.

Got Dark Armor, so all black.

Delivery shouldn't be too long as someone had originally ordered the bike I'm getting and decided to get an MT-09.

Quite looking forward to it Twisted Evil

Bollocks to that wimpery. Get a rocket III, add dual nitrous kit, fit drag parachutes.

I did consider the MT-09 but not having ridden in quite a few years, so thought I would go for the smaller cc bike. Most reviewers that have ridden both say the 07 is just as much fun but more newbie friendly.

This bike seems to be better than NC700/750 and ER-6n. Lighter, better frame, and more power. If MT-07 has rich bottom end torque compared to ER-6n, this bike would be very good.

Any bike is newbie friendly, just don't go full throttle straight away, same as the MT07, you are going to gradually build up... so why not start with better and have a more fulfilling biking life. Wink

Nice. Love the MT-07. Looks better than MT-09 & by all accounts it will be great fun.

MT-09 is also £1,600 (or 30%) more.

Only down side seems to be waiting till summer is virtually over to get one.

Enjoy it OP Thumbs Up

Managed to have a play on an MT-07 last week. I like the engine, smooth, no vibes and will pick the front up quite happily in the first 2 gears. Seems to have plenty of punch at any point in the revs.

It feels very much like a TDM engine, which it probably is, just with a 270deg crank ( TRX style ).

Suspension was also fairly good for a stock bike, as were the brakes.

Actually prefer it to the MT-09!

Needs loud exhaust though. I kept thinking it had stalled when at idle Laughing .
