Hi, just got another 125 for doing some track days on short circuits and was wondering if anyone had any advice on tuning a nsr 125 JC22.

I am aware of how to derestrict it, but is it worth putting a decent pipe on it too?

or anything else?

Thanks

What tracks?

The best possible thing I can think to do that will make real world difference to your lap times is....
To spend your money...
Turning the throttle earlier coming out of corner by getting more track time.

No, really Smile.

thanks for the advice!

Ive done quite a few track days on various bikes including FZR1000's, cbr400's and fzr400's. I'm not some kid on a cbt or something lol!

Teesside autodrome which is local to me, and almost a go kart track in places is amazing on a 125. Used to have a tzr125 and it was great fun. So i got another 125 for this purpose.

So... Im just plainly curious as too where people have gone with nsr's with regards to tuning them as there isn't a ton of info on the net.

My old TZR had such things as the powervalve pinned open, race pipe, jetted, ported and a 170 top end. But it was an ex race bike.

there are 3 restrictions on nsr's, your bike could have none of them, it could have all of them.

CDI, Carb, Exhaust

Depends on which country the bike heils from originally as to which it is likely to have.

thanks yeah the handling side of things is also part of the plan to upgrade it a bit.

Its a UK bike that is unrestricted. No inlet plate and the exhaust one has been removed. CDI is the full power one also.

Just curious to see if anyone has had any reasonable gains out of anything else power wise.
