I don't know if there is another thread about this (havn't looked really), But is Neil H spoiling anyone else's enjoyment of Moto GP?

I cannot stand his awkward commentary, the pained interviews he has with rider's and the fact he cannot resist offering his big headed opinion about everything and everyone.

he seems to think he is every rider's mate, and most seem to want to get as far away from his abrasive attitude and big headed barge in and demand style of interviewing. However a good a bike racer he may well have been, he has terrible personal/people skills and listening to him jumping from one topic to another mid sentence on the grid and trying to chase disinterested riders for an interview is really pissing me off!

At least Matt Roberts was a friendly likeable character, without a big head attitude and personality.

If they don't get rid of Hodgeson this season, I won't be watching Moto GP next year, I've had enough!

I don't mind him, prefer his lap guides to his interviews, but most ex-racers start out a bit rough with the mic in their hands. The ex rider I just can't stand is Steve Fucking Parrish. Nob of the first order, and a right arrogant git off camera from what I've heard.

He's a small part of the programme and a smaller part of the problem. Gavin Emmett has a fat smug face that I can't stand too.

The real problems however lie with Huewen and Ryder. Huewen is shambolic and struggles to differentiate his arse from his elbow. Ryder is so pompous and smug I simply can't stand his voice, even though he may have interesting things to say.

Matthew Birt and Craig Doyle are the only ones pulling their weight imho.

Turn the sound off, if you don't like 'em, the bikes will still be racing.
They're just commentators, so meh!

It's never been brilliant. One man's Moody is another's Roberts.

I liked it when Carlon Kirby and James Haydon depped for Ryder et al.
He went mental when Lorenzo was chasing down thingy at Motegi.
Wouldn't want him doing full time.

If they P me off I do as Sid and turn it down.

I thought that Neil has chilled a bit with age and thought he was one of the better things about the coverage.

But I also really like Gavin Emmet and wish he'd been given the commentary job.

Can't stand Ryder's smug delivery.

As a side, never liked Moody either (a sin amongst motoGP fans). Disappointed he made it on to BSB with his Duracell battery fluctuating delivery. Was really pleased when Barry Nutley was covering the other week.

Problem with Neil is , he was never popular in the paddock as a rider and is no where near as popular now as he thinks he is.

He tries to do a good job, he just fails to notice that few if any in the paddock like him/ are interested in talking to him anymore than they have to / are contractually obliged to.

BT Sport have totally fucked it up IMO, and I'm glad I haven't paid a penny to watch the MotoGP this year.

Addition:-
Everyone who watches the MotoGP now hates The Prodigy - Hot Ride thanks to BT Sport.

I don't know which one it is, but the one that sounds like a fat, red wine drinking cock doesn't seem to know how to prononce the Spanish names. The rest do, so it must wind them up more than me. I also turn the sound off.

His interview with Colin Edwards at Indi began with "When I was a racer, and it was my last race, I was riding round.. bla bla bla"

He must have had the painters in when he talked to the several people I have spoken to who found him obnoxious. Fair dos

They have fucked it up.

That Melanie or whatever her name was who was going to be the 'new face' didn't last long and if you google it there doesn't seem to be a 'proper' reason they're giving us to why she left / got sacked.

So they replace her with some awkward squeeky sounding woman who can't read the auto cue quick enough and stops mid way through a sentence at random words and then tries to cover it up by elongating the last word to let her brain catch up.

don't mind craig doyle, although i keep waiting for him to say "YA DIDN'T EXPECT EVEREST TO BE DOING THAT SHIT TODAY, DID YOU?! "

Not keen on that kieth bloke, seems to state the obvious and do unfunny puns and 1 liners and Julian still hasn't taken a more lead role which could have been more interesting, maybe.

and that fucking intro / advert music, i fucking can't stand it, whatever the bitch says "give me a ride" ? or whatever song it's from it, i hate it.

They need to redo the whole lot and nail it properly like Sky have with the F1 channel

I like Neil H! Have you read his book?

As for presenters as a whole, I prefer it when an actual racer/x-racer is commentating, it gives a much richer view than some bellend that has only ever experienced a race from an armchair.

Foggy was much the same. Interviewer would ask "so what do you think Pedrosa's chances are at beating Stoner" And foggy would respond by saying how many fans came to see him race at Brands in '98.

Foggy never was a particularly nice bloke though was he? Supremely talented racer, yes. Winning personality? Not so much.

Yes, there are parallels between them. Both were considered dicks when they were racing and both have chilled a bit since retiring and now seem to be easier to get on with.

Foggy has said he was an arse back in the day. But he seems to get on well with most folk now he's not competing.

Foggy is a pretty laid back guy though these days, now he has no need or desire to get on a bike to prove anything. It's the same with Schwantz etc, they were fucking nasty moody S.O.B's when racing, but they enjoy their trips to the Moto GP paddock now they are just watching.

Neil.H is still a dick!

Oh and as for female presenter's, I'm with whoever it was on BCF who last year said they could get a boner over that Azzy girl with the bent nose! Wink

Moto GP needs more Toselands IMO, not jumped up pricks who think it's all about them still!
