Is a 600s cool enough for a 23 yr old - or is it one for the born agains?

I quite like the faired Bandit, looks kinda mean.

Also it depends how/when you ride, if its just short journies in the summer then unfaired will suffice.
But if your riding longer distances in summer/winter etc, then faired would be your best bet.

Nothing wrong with a bandit, they just look a little middle of the road to me.

If you're gonna go for a semi faired(?) 600, I think the new style SV650 looks smart, but the old style fazers still look nice as well.

Course not!!! Superb bike, prefer the faired one over the unfaired one. Although unfaired is better for customising Very Happy

i like the look of the sv650s but the riding position is quite far over the bars. The seat also seems pretty firm and ive heard theyre very revvy (being a twin) Ive just sold a GS500 and was looking for a bit more grunt.

Unfaired all the way. Mind you I'm the wrong person to ask for an objective opinion as I love the naked sports bikes/tourers. The bandits are an awesome bike. There's a Bandit 400 going near where I live, and although I'm considering a 600 it is still pretty tempting.

Hi

Nice enough bikes, and the engine is basically a GSXR750 engine so can be easily bored out to not far short of 900cc.

You get used to the wind pressure. Rode my unfaired 1200 Bandit to the south of France with no problems.

Get an unfaired one and then fit an after-market flyscreen - I think that is the best look.

And make it a 600, not a 400 as you will get bored too quickly. In fact, you may get bored anyway.

If I had to chose my first bike again, I think I'd have gone for an older ZXR6 instead of the fazer (old style) 6.

I'm not a huge fan of the bandet 600's thats prob got something to do with me rideing a Hornet!
It would be an unfaired model if i had to have one, I can cruse happily at 90mph on my unfaired bike, like kickstart says you get used to it!
