Is a 600s cool enough for a 23 yr old - or is it one for the born agains?

One for born again bikers?????
Course not!!! Superb bike, prefer the faired one over the unfaired one. Although unfaired is better for customising |

And make it a 600, not a 400 as you will get bored too quickly. In fact, you may get bored anyway.
If I had to chose my first bike again, I think I'd have gone for an older ZXR6 instead of the fazer (old style) 6. |
What is bored though? Not going fast enough? I'd have thought more or less any bike larger than 250 goes fast enough. People won't do 100+ all that frequently will they? They might get bored of the lack of acceleration, because it takes them 5 instead of 3.5 seconds to get to 60?
Any reasonably quick riding on a decent handling bike which can do the ton, on decent twisty roads, is fun. Surely the main issues of whether you get bored of your bike are whether you can find the right roads, or if it breaks down all the time?
Of course, if it only does 60, handles like a mule, cannot beat most cars at the lights if they try; regularly breaks parts and sheds pieces like confetti, then you've got every reason to be bored with it. Just I need to get my full licence (and some more money) to move on up.
I would get the Bandit 6, unfaired though. IIRC, the 400 is pretty much the same just with a sleeved down engine? Whilst the fairing might be pretty useful to begin with, as people say, you'll get used to the wind given time, and I think the naked bike looks better anyway. ____________________ I must not be a troll...
