FASTEST ducati Drag Bike?

Hi all, just wondering what the quickest known time for a modified Ducati is? my local Ducati dealership owner has been puting this 900SS together over 2 or 3 years and has just run a time of 9.43 seconds @ 146MPH

Depends on how MODIFIED it is, this is a top fuel one...

Most are pretty slow as they tend to break down before they finish the Quarter mile.

Out of curiousity, how safe are those wheely bars? Im assuming they are pretty well mounted but im sure if you really went for it with some numpty riding... bad things could happen.

the supertwins generally use car gearboxes. So technically the bikes become a half road half bike.

the local guy in my home town of Bunbury is Wayne Paterson, he has been working on that 900ss for about 3 years now and has just recently finished it's major rebuild, I was there to see all the fabrication take place because my uncle performed most of it in his workshop, the engine used was a 998 4 valve testastretta with forged pistons, carrilo rods, beefed up valve components and forged crank all of which was meticuously balanced. The turbo used was a Garret item I am not sure of it's size but it is mounted off a custom fabricated exhaust/wastegate manifold and plumbed into the intake plenum air box via a large 60-70mm pipe it has no intercooler and is running rather moderate turbo boost pressures I believe it put out over 220 rear wheel horsepower

the gauges are there to monitor the condition of his labour of love! he wants to know exactly what happens to the bike during testing. there are Tacho, Speedometer, Turbo Boost Pressure, Oil Pressure, and Oil Temperature. Oh and the smaller gauge on the shiny reservoir cylinder is a Fuel Pressure Gauge
