Got to do this tomorrow. 19" and quite wide.... what's going to be the best way then chaps?

Depends on the bike, but I reckon I have enough room on mine to bungee something like that on the back.

I'd feel far safer with it strapped on than around my waist. a 19 inch tyre will be very loose around the waist of most people.

Bungeed/ratchet strapped vertically to the back seat?

I imagine having it around your waist would limit arm mobility somewhat..

I've carried big stuff on my ickle tiny GPZ with bungee nets. Not tyres. But big/awkward stuff. Bungee nets are awesome if you use them right.

Don't try putting a tyre over your shoulder as I did recently. All seemed well, until I went to do a lifesaver and realised I couldn't turn my head to the right. Laughing Embarassed

I pulled over and put it around my waist and that worked fine. Thumbs Up

Not sure about a car tyre, but with a fairly large bike tyre I went with this option Razz

I did try it around my waist but it was stopping me moving/sitting on the bike properly - that probably totally depends on said bikes riding position and shape though I guess.

I've done car wheels packaged up (makes it harder as less stuff to hook on to) on the push bike.

Enough bungees to have it firm on the back.

I found the best way, if you have a pair to be moved and a top box, is one on either side bungied together. I had lots of old/worn bike tyres to transport to the dump. Singles were a pita to bungie.

I did a trial fit with the tyre that's knackered... Obviously there won't be a rim but size is the issue.

If it's just the tyre, why not attach to a backpack?
You can have it so it's pretty much resting on the seat, but is stopped from moving around too much by the back pack.

I'll have a hunt but think all I've got here is a rope. Thinking of looping it down the straps then round the tyre repetitively.
