I nipped up the shop on the bike in my leather superdry jacket last night, felt much nicer than in my proper jacket in this weather. Its classed as a biker jacket but obviously designed for fashion so has no armour pockets. Is there anything on the market to add add shoulder and elbow armour so i dont have to buy a whole new jacket?

You could look into something like these.

Never tried them and there could be better quality ones out their.

This was just the first to show up in the search I did.

Why add armour to a fashion jacket. Odds are the leather will just disintegrate if you slide down the tarmac so whats a few extra bruises when your skin is shredded off anyway.

I wouldn't bother to be honest - i've got something almost identical to that and its barely upto the task for off-road riding, let alone any sort of high speed road accident.

The 'armour' on the arms is basically a rigid bit of plastic shell, which in itself might cause more damage than its supposed to prevent if it doesn't crack/flatten on impact. The typical CE type inserts are more 'padded' throughout.

As above though - if the jackets main material isn't going to withstand sliding down the concrete its probably pointless either way really.

If its actually decently sewn leather, why not learn basic sewing yourself?
Sew strips of velcro to go with the opposing halves on armour?

I accidentally bought a leather jacket where the elbow and shoulder pads were massively out of position, little more velcro, needle, strong thread, job done. Cool
