So who's loaded up their bike the most? Curious to see how much people have managed to get on, then actually ridden it somewhere.

Doubt it'll be a winner here, but here's my 3rd Fazer loaded for a UK tour, and I think this is the most I've done:

I'll submit this:

Baring in mind it carried two people to half way to Wales and back.

I think on packing up day we established that Skudd was carrying more than I was, so I know I'm not the weiner of this little contest.

Semi related I did once get six or seven people on my little ts50x, and rode it up a bumpy alleyway with all on board.

Last week. Tis about typical for a 2Up weekend away.
However, observe the juxtaposition with travelling companion's machine...

What you going to sleep in/on dear?... a sleeping bag? In a tent? Where's that then?... Oh! On MY bike! That'll explain it!
Yup, my bike had two tents, four sleeping bags, four bed-mats as well as luggage for two, my cameras and travel essentials, like suncream, and a first aid kit.
Secret I think is packing light; I have rarely had to take this much, even when I have gone away for a full fortnight.. What do you all take to need so much luggage?

Edit: I thought the competition was about who had got on their bike and racked up the most miles this month around UK Embarassed

It's not a tail pack as such, it's a ventura pack-rack. Its basically an A frame that bolts into the grab handle lugs.

One bag slips over the top of the frame and clips on, the other bag zips to the first. The whole lot including the frame is removable in about a minute, and it gives you a base to strap your tent too.

A bit nicer to ride with than a conventional to top box, as it keeps more of the weight inboard rather than hanging out over the back wheel. More expensive than a tail pack though!

I can't stand untidy luggage!

This thread does seem to highlight one of the obvious drawbacks of motorcycling. Laughing
