Hi all,

Bike passed MOT with 1 advisory. It says rear brake fluctuating? What could be the cause and fix for this? I can feel it when braking. Pedal moves up and down while applying the brake but brakes ok. Hope this makes sense. Cheers.

Get the rear wheel off the ground and hold a pencil against the swingarm. Spin the wheel and see how much the disc is out of true.

I will give this a try! Might not be too bad considering it passed MOT? Cheers.

Usually either a warped disc or corrosion between the disc and the hub. Can be other thngs too but less likely.

Normally means a new disc and pads.
