Right, time for me to wrap tank - its blue, needs to be gloss black.

Would like a rough idea how big the piece of vinyl needs to be for a tank. Im guessing about 600x600mm?

If anyone can recommend a seller?

thanks

Whatever size you get, spend the money on the proper 3M stuff. Usually down as "scotchprint".

Any experince with other stuff, interested to know the reasoning. I did see your VFR? thread where you done a tank.

In 600x600mm, I can get other vinyl about 4 quid, or scotchprint for 13 quid. I think, considering the alternative is 100 quid to get it sprayed, the 4 quid vinyl might be a good learning experience and not a huge amount of money wasted if I need to redo it.

Depends how big your tank is

Wrapping is far easier when the sheets over size, makes it easier to stretch for a good finish. It's a pain in the ass when it's only just big enough

You'll also want to wrap pretty far round the edges as they will eventually start to curl up at the edges so keeps that hidden. If that makes sense ?

And as above get good quality 3m stuff, the cheap stuff comes off really quick

The 3M stuff is much nicer to work with. Stretches more easily, stretches further, smooths down more easily, gives a better finish.

As you say, if you've never done it before, a bit of cheap stuff is good to practice with, a tank isn't easy to wrap. I fucked it up on my first attempt but I'd bought plenty of vinyl.
