Is there anywhere/is it possible to PX a bike that is on finance for a car?

Just wondering but I doubt it

Take bike to dealer and so "this is on finance, will you px it?"
Question

Seems unlikely, but if it was say a BMW dealer and especially if you had a BMW bike, probably more likely.

My company has had bikes brought in p/x in the past, i'm sure they just get sent to auction but should be doable for most

My local Honda main dealership (sell cars &bikes) advertise that

"We also part exchange any motorised vehicle against our products".

Although when I was dealing with them they did advise that they wouldn't take any Chinese bikes in part-ex as they found them too hard to sell. (Lacists)

My mate works in a dealer and they will take a bike as part ex. They get sent to auction they are not sold from the dealership direct so it makes no difference to them what the vehicle is

Part ex. Sick .

Sell privately and keep your money rather than chucking it down a grotty drain.

The issue will be the finance. I would guess that it would need to be paid off.

Even if accepted, you will need a new finance and old one has to be paid off in full. If the bike is new like in your sig then you may end up with situation that you owe more that the bike is currently worth and a new dealer willing to pay for it.

Or the buyer pays the money over the phone to the finance company, rather than giving you the money and hoping that you do it afterwards.

It will be a MASSIVE ballache to sell though, people don't want the hazard.

Would it be possible for you to get a bank loan, or a credit card with enough credit limit to pay the bike off?

I had interest free finance on my old bike bought from new. Rang company to pay it off so I could p/x it and they said the finance wasn't linked to the bike and I don't have to pay it off to sell it

Mjz has a fair point about the equity of your bike - it will depend on how much finance is outstanding and whether you paid a fairly reasonable deposit.

To be fair, you can carry over any negative equity, but it will no longer be a HP/PCP deal. They will offer a personal loan instead. Dealers have no issue dealing with clearing the finance for you via your company, they will deal with it on a daily basis

If you've any questions gimme a shout, and note i'm not a salesman so wont try to sell you nout Razz
