I wouldn't advise going from no riding in the last two years to jumping straight into a track day. You will be rusty and you may not enjoy it because you're either too slow or you find yourself over cooking it.
Having said all that some riders in Novice are absolutely appalling.
As for the day itself, the plan is: turn up, go to the briefing, listen intently, get behind an instructor to learn the track in the first session and enjoy yourself.
I really would recommend getting some time on a mate's bike before you do that though. ____________________ Triumph Daytona 675 track bike + girlfriend's Honda Hornet 600

Motocross bikes tend to have a LONGER wheel base (though this will reduce a bit when strapped down) than road track bikes. Also have bigger wheels.
So you should be ok.
And - troubles with a LWB transit - I've had 3 sports bikes in a SWB lo-top transit along with kit and tools for three riders!
And yes, definitely start gently on the trackday and get quicker slowly - don't suddenly go faster. |

missed the 'connect' bit.
Listed load area of around 2m is going to be starting to push it a bit. Vito is 2.2 I think (you can fit 4'x8' sheets in, but they sit under the seat at the front so only a few) and you have a little space.
I've wondered in the past about getting something like a SWB Caddy and taking the passenger seat out to carry a bike - but pretty handy that I can get two/three bikes in the vito and we're talking maybe 63mpg vs 50mpg if being driven very carefully for either. |
