Hi

Hopefully someone will be able to help. I normally wear UK8/EU42 in everything. At the moment I wear SIDI, but had to go to a 9/43. What is the sizing/fit like in Daytona boots. They do look a bit wider in pictures. May have to order via the net which I don't like doing, but not many stockists in NI.

Thanks for any info/experiences folks have.

Si

sidi are a sport fit, I take a 45, daytona are a touring fit, I take a 44

most likely you'll have had to buy larger sidi's for the extra width

strangely daytona do a super wide fit, 2cm wider than normal, some bugger must have huge feet

Thanks for that. What's your normal shoe size? 44?

Thanks again

I am a size 8 and take 8 in Daytonas...just buy your usual shoe size. They are quite roomy, which is good when wearing a thicker pair of socks in winter.

DONT go a size up or they will be like boats on you.

I cant comment on Sidis as ive never owned a pair.

I swear by Daytonas....really good quality and they last. Although they aint cheap.

Thanks guys. I'll go for my normal shoe size then. Now trying to decide between Evo Sport, Evo Voltex and GTX or not. Swaying towards non GTX as I don't often ride I the wet! Plus I've got sealskin socks and clearly cheaper. Evo Voltex from Germany around £340. Mmmm.
Thank again for all your input.

Are they worth the money? I've been thinking of getting a pair of Daytonas. I've had some alpinestar smx4's for the last 6 years and they have been faultless and are half the price of the daytonas I like.

Another vote here for Daytona's Cool I'm normally a size 9 but ended buying a size bigger to allow for some warmer socks. I've got travel stars and they're as comfy as slippers.

Not tried the others so can't comment.

Got an old pair of travelstar GTXs as my main commuter boots, best day to day all weather boots on the market imo. They never leak, they don't fall apart and if you look after them, they'll likely outlive you Wink

Any thoughts on GTX or non? My present boots (SIDI Vertigos) aren't. Tend not to ride in the rain if I can help it! If I'm away for a while I tend to carry sealskin socks anyway. £60 difference from Germany. Mmmm.

It is a pain they're more expensive over here which doesn't do shops over here any favours Sad Don't forget you can get Daytona's re soled for something like £50 or the equivalent in Germany when needed as well.

For any others pondering the same. I'd say go for it. Bloody pricey, but you should see these things. The quality of the leather, stitching , attention to detail is awesome. Size wise I'm a 42/8 in everything and that's the size I went for the the Evo Voltex GTX. Spot on. They'll need fine tuning with insoles as they seem to have more volume. Though I suspect after some breaking in the 3 Velcro tensioners on the inner boots will sort it.
I got them here
https://www.fc-moto.de/epages/fcm.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/10207048/Products/Daytona-Evo-Voltex-Gore-Tex-Boot/SubProducts/Daytona-Evo-Voltex-Gore-Tex-Boot-0001

Agreed price in the UK. Real shame. £250+ cheaper from Germany inc p&p.
