Good tablet for sub £100?

Hey all

Any reccommendations for a good tablet for <£100? So far I like the look of this Samsung:

or for a tenner less the Kindle Fire:

I'm in no way a gadget freak, currently using a shite Huawei Ascend smart phone thats giving me major headaches, and a 10+ year old laptop bought of a colleague for £70 two years ago.

I've been surprised by the ability and sturdiness of the Tesco Hudl that my kids use. £99.

well can't comment on the other choices but i got the fire
from the wife and daughter for xmas...most impressed.

The fire does all that i expected and does it well.

checked out https://www.lovemyfire.com/
which gave me plenty of ideas and help with the fire... Thumbs Up

personal fav app was GoTo which let me manage the home page and organise the apps as i saw fit.

so with Flash, dolphin, TV, Youtube, Music, Gmail & music plus my documents with office suite pro...AND all my books kindle and epub...happy days.

whatever you get don't forget amazon offer a free app every day.. Thumbs Up

A Tesco hudle is pretty Damn capable for the money....and it's going to run rings around the tab2 you linked to. I've got an iPad and the Mrs has a nexus7 but I've used a few hudl's and they handle apps and stream XBMC with no issues and are quick enough to be fun to use. I'm guessing the old tab2 is going to be a bit clunky and frustrating

Had a go on a few and with a big enough screen its not much of an issue to be honest, there's the weight of a laptop to consider as well. I'm off abroad for a few months travelling and need something light and easy to transfer photos/check email on

Nice to buy something from a shop just in case it goes tits up, will look at Tesco Hudls Thumbs Up

Dont want to hijack this thread but a mate is going into hospital and is looking for a tablet, it would need to work without WiFi only a mobile network, any ideas?

Why not get a mi-fi router or use an existing smartphone set up so the tablet is tethered to it? You would need a mobile provider that allows tethering tho. Giffgaff charge £12.50 for a 3GB gigabag

Not sure how easy a kindle fire would be to transfer photo's as there are no card slots. So you are looking at USB or wifi.
While you can drag stuff off and on via computer. Doing it from a camera to a kindle could be fun. Not easy

Or just use a big smart phone like a Galaxy Note?
