I've raced in the same meeting as these guys and even tested on track with them. It certainly does seem an entertaining field.

He gave him a thumbs up, I presume it was to prevent mirror loss or something?

Yeah, it's weird... I've never seen them with folded in mirrors in the past so it's not a common feature of the series (I double checked via pics too).

He does seem to be saying thanks rather than angry, although it might be a "get the hell off my car" thumb point? With half a million views now I bet he'll be bored of talking about it but I'm racing with them in a week and a half so I'll try to find out.

<edit>turns out I'm not... Ma5da has separated from the brscc Mazda mx5s and I'm with the latter, the video's from the former. The regs seem the same, but there's an argument about payment. Oh well...
