Has anyone here ever had a ride that just flowed, basically one where you go out and every corner just seems to be at the right speed, angle feels just right. The speed just fits to the ride, where you don't really suffer from any anger or red rage. Everything just feels cool and enjoyable.
I've had this happen a few times (including once last night) and after talking to a few members they find it stupid or pretentious. Saying they have never experienced it before.
Just curious if it's happened to anyone else.
(One of them times where you purely enjoy the ride.) ____________________ CB125>CG125>GN125>ER5>K100RS>R1100RS>K100RS

Not often. The last time I remember it happening was when I showed Tot around some of the roads near me. ____________________ Triumph Daytona 675 track bike + girlfriend's Honda Hornet 600

I'm not sure if it's the same, but mine is definitely pretentious. I've had less than 10 rides in 3 years (4 on a 125) where I entered this relaxed, calm, almost meditative state. Every muscle became extremely relaxed, and speed, entry, apex and exit all came without seeming to try.
It wasn't being on it, there was no adrenaline, just extreme relaxation. But I wasn't going slow, in fact going as fast as I ever would. Mind goes blank......hopefully not too blank.
It's happened a few times when riding at night. Empty roads, just chasing that white line as it snakes and curls into the distance. It's hypnotic.
Only had it once on the Triumph, but that wasn't relaxation, that was extreme focus. 3 hours of nailing it with no traffic around. One of the best days of my life |

Yes, every ride
In all seriousness, most rides are flowing, when they're not it's when I'm tired and being a bit of a mong. It's why I don't get people who say they hate commuting, your still on a bike, I enjoy every ride unless someone annoys me or I end up in A&E*
Last winter I went through a phase of having amazing rides into work. It was freezing cold, but I got off the bike thinking no one could have ridden it faster. I've yet to beat those times set on my 125, even on a 600 and litre bike, and god knows I've tried

I enjoy most rides but, sometimes you just feel more tuned in for some reason and yeah, it does feel kinda good.
Not having that feeling at the moment though, after I lost the back end on a roundabout a few days back. Sh!tting a brick every time I try and lean the bike. ____________________ There ain't no devil, there's just god when he's drunk.

I had one ride once where I set off very early in the morning and rode the b4009 from near Tring to Newbury, and didn't see a single vehicle in front of me |

It's even better if you get it while riding along with someone else.
Not so much autopilot as being in the same groove.
Long, North West Higland A-roads seem to lend themselves well to it. The Ullapool to Durness road* in particular but there is also something about the Lochcarron to Achnasheen* stretch where the road seems to pull you along with it.
*Warning. Links to youtube videos of those roads I found contain very dodgy soundtracks. Panpipes feature heavily in one of them. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
