How often do you get pulled on your bike? I have never been pulled so far (touch wood) in my 5 months on the road.

I've only been pulled once in about 7 years of riding. I did get 6 points and a £350 fine though

Used to get pulled up loads for "routine checks" in Hampshire (rarely by a copper who had any concept of the words polite or professional). These days very rarely get pulled over, but on the other hand there are rarely any coppers around and I avoid the roads infested with talivans.

None so far but been followed twice (once looked in the mirrors and saw merc traffic cop car right behind me, the passenger squinting at my bike and on the radio as well - must have been a routine check on the go)

Managed to evade a beamer as well when he decided to do a u-turn over a dual carriageway to follow me.

Thankfully tucked into a side road and he pelted past in a 30 zone. Played a bit of cat and mouse just to check he was after me as well

I've not been pulled in months, but thats because i've been in the car. When got the RGV, i managed to get 200 meters up the road before i was pulled by an unmarked police car. I then got pulled once every few weeks untill bad weather forced me to stop riding.

If you were to compaired how often i was getting pueld to how many miles i did, 'd say i got pulled once every 80 miles.

When on L plates i only got pulled 3-4 times.

So far every time its just been to look over the bike and send me on my way. appart frm on the RGV where they pull me as it says in there database i have no insurance. last time that happend they followed me back to my house where i showed them all my documentation. Hopefully they'll leave me alone when i go back to biking!

Funny really cos according to some of his stories my other half used to get pulled pretty much every time he put his lid on.... guess me screaming "Slow Down! Watch Out! Don't you EVER do that again with me on the back!" must've paid off huh?

Yeah, thats the one It has a big weird looking camera on the top of it. Might be a spot light though, but its big and weird looking. Can't help the fuel economy.

The guy just tailed me around st vincent street along to central station and back. Personally I think he knew that I was trying to keep the noise down from the bike. Kept looking around at road signs to look as if I was lost and quite innocent Drove right past my usual parking spot too just so he couldn't stop and read the exhaust.

Been pulled twice 3 years. Once for speeding and once at a routine 'stop everyone it's christmas' road block thing.

Never, but if they do stop me I'm 100% legal (depending on my speed ) but so far so good, currently in my third year of riding.

I managed to get pulled over 4 times in 1 day before, I wasn't doing anything wrong any of the times and was allowed to continue on my way (although they did test me to see if I'd been drinking). One of the officers told me that they were cracking down on unlicenced riders that weekend, which was why I'd been pulled over so many times.

I think I've been pulled over about 8 times in total, costing me $1000 (300 quid) all up. When I was younger I was caught a couple of times taking a pillion on my learner licence which is not allowed, and results in a nice $400 donation to the local cop shop. The other time my road tax had just expired, so I had to pay $200.

I got pulled about 2 weeks ago. I was lucky. I had no indicator bulbs in and my rear light wasn't working.

I was actually on my way to the bike shop to get new bulbs. The copper just asked if everything worked (yes sir)

Including the speedo................... Which didn't.

Never. I have pulled up next to a bike cop to ask directions to RnB and he didnt even blink at the small (not ridiculously small) number plate or loud can. Obviously he must have seen/heard a lot of bikes that day that had been more illegal/louder.
I was quite tempted to stick my big number plate and original can just so that there is never a reason to pull me over, but as neither seems to obvious or offensive I haven't bothered.

I have never been pulled over in 6 years on the bike. The last time I got pulled over was 20 years ago, driving at excessive speed on the North Circular.

Twice in a year and a half. The first was a routine check on the 50 the second a few months ago was for speeding considerably. Got let off though.

I get pulled over all the time, either because I am riding a bike or because I'm driving an old car!

I don't dress perticularly badly, not all track suits and baseball caps or anything that would attract the coppers, but I just feel that they discriminate again bikers and people in older cars! They have nevertold me anything is wrong except when I had my VTR1000 and they didn't like the race cans, but I explained that they are my fail safe. If people aren't going to use their mirors, then I'm going to work out on their ears!

Charlotte got pulled up 3 times in one 15 mile journey for routine checks a few years back.

I was once pulled up to ask why I was going so slowly. Well, what else would you do when you are doing 30 in a 30 limit with a police car following you?

Common trick the police used to use in Hampshire was to tailgate you very closely with very bright headlights (not sure if they just used high beam or whether they had not adjusted them for all the rubbish they kept in the boot) to try and get you to speed.

Got pulled up once on the Gilera CX and the copper tapped the petrol tank. I told him it was just a plastic cover, but neglected to mention the plastic tank (then not legal) under the plastic cover .

3 years in a car and 2.5 on a bike never been pulled. Been nodded at a couple of times by biker cops, thats the total of my contact with them!

I was pulled for dangerous riding...apparantly I was racing when it was just another moped overtaking me.
