DAS in Hertfordshire, any recommendations?

Hello,

I've been riding my 125 since May last year and recently passed my theory. I was looking to do my DAS around this area on a decent / recommended place.

ADS at A&M Letchworth is doing only CBT at the moment. There's PRT at The Honda dealer (meh?) and there's another one SBT where I did cbt but I wasn't very impressed...

Anyone recommend any of the last two or others?

I did mine with Vision in St Albans. I wanted to go down the lessons route and they worked out cheaper than SBT who I did my CBT with too. £54 for 2hours. They work out more expensive than all those you mentioned when pricing up an intensive course though.

I found them good, especially Dane, perhaps you get what you pay for.

I did my restricted access at A&M, not sure whether they were any good as we messed about for 2 days. Both of us were competent already and both passed with minimal fuss.

SBT were good as mechanics, last time I was there. They'd only just opened the shop though so no idea as trainers.

St. Albans is a bit far, especially if I can't jump on the A1(M) just yet.

A&M Not doing DAS at the moment and SBT weren't very convincing.
The instructor started with 'don't bother with your names, I won't remember them'. There was just 2 of us.

Anyone know how much a full intensive, let's say, 2 or 3 day course should be costing? I haven't seen any posted on any school's websites.

Took me about 45mind on the backroads from stevenage. Did you get the old chap for your cbt or Alan? Alan does the DAS and hes a nice bloke who i think you would be alrite with. I had a taster session with him before my CBT. If it was the old chap, then I had him for my cbt too and know what you mean.

I don't dislike them, he was actually a nice bloke just a tad unprofessional I guess.

Anyway:

PRT: £540 3 day course, mods done on different weeks.
SBT: £495 3 day intensive, mod 1 followed by mod 2 a day after.
1on1 Barton le Clay: £481 3 day course, mods on diff weeks.

Too lazy to go to St. Albans Cool

Do these prices make sense? I'm tempted to go check PRT, im happy to pay £45 extra for the comfort factor.

BMW school in Royston.

I thought they were pretty good when I did my DAS with them, not that I have much to compare with. Did useful things like book the test centre for practice so you were familiar with the actual course, takes some of the stress away from the test.

Alan at SBT is a top top bloke so DAS should be ok.

Just remember with mod2 next day, if you balls mod 1 up you'll lose your test fee for mod2
