Removing texts from someone else's phone

Strange question here but I text someone back and fourth a few times this weekend and today her texts have completely disappeared from my phone?

Searched around a lot on Google on ways to remove messages you sent from other people's phones and came across a few apps that say they can do it...

Wiper & Tiger Text

Wiper doesn't even get past the sign up screen, says it's sending you a verification code and doesn't ever come.

Tiger Text shows up on the recipients phone but has a URL saying someone just sent you an encrypted message via Tiger Text.

Presumably it will only be able to do it if both phones have the app installed.

e.g. both apps have permission to read, write and delete messages. App from phone 1 tells phone 2 to delete a specific message. It can do because the same app has permission to do so o phone 2.

This is why you need to be careful with what apps you have and what permissions they require. I wouldn't want anyone else to be able to read my messages (not that I have anything to hide).

Seems like a grey area in data protection law?

@sickpup - Fortunately, I don't have a wife or a GF, forever alone!

Nobody touched my phone, it was on the side the whole weekend whilst I was working (self employed).

The plot thickens though, turns out this girl is pretty famous herself and her boyfriend is famous.

Not saying who she is or who her BF is though, it's bad enough that she has one.

This is why it got me thinking, do celebs have tools/apps available to them to help them do this kind of thing?

Honestly sounds like I'm tripping balls here but I've never seen text messages from someone else get removed from MY phone like that before.

To be fair, all that stuff, the snowden stuff etc has woken people up about this kind of thing happening.

Anyway, still baffled and now the number is dead. Really fucking strange!

Was she a friend on Facebook and now not ? sometimes that can make messages disappear.

Just had a look at twitter ratings and there are no males with 20+million followers with girlfriends with 4+million followers.

Could be wrong, was just a quick look but is this another one of your revelations?

Certainly can... Especially with an integrated messaging app that makes all messages look the same... My (windows) phone combines FB and texts and makes them almost indistinguishable.[/quote]

Log into facebook and check your inbox. If your messages to her are there, it was a facebook message and explains how they vanished.[/quote]

It's not them, I inflated the numbers by a lot on both of them so it's not easy to guess.

It's turning in to a guessing game now, which it doesn't matter, more arsed about my bricked phone
