Was coming back South down the A1 (Doncaster) & saw loads of bikes ( lots in groups) all loaded up going the other way.

Just wondered what might be going on as Silverstone is the other way & BSB was last week?

Question

Wait, people were out riding bikes rather than posting on a forum? Why must you invent such preposterous lies?

Yeah this is Stormin' the Castle weekend and dammit I can't go. But in general I've found The Grim North (basically everything from Derby on up) to be some of the best riding country I've ever experienced.

Where I live there's all manner of choices for just random travels. The left coast is usually great up past Lancaster and the Penines are close by and the Yorkshire moors are within striking distance as well. I lived doon sahf for 20 years thinking Essex was about as good as it gets for day trippin' but Oop Norf is way better. And with Scotland not too far away there's mega camping fun and wanderings to be had.

I used to be a courier and just got in the habit of being bored on motorways but now that I've chucked that in I love just randomly meandering the back roads to rallies and stuff discovering things. Sometimes the journey there is better than the destination.
